Plamen Papzikov was born in Plovdiv. There he finished the Music School where he first studied in specialty Bassoon, and then –Classical singing. Later, he graduated from the National Academy of Music in Sofia by prof. Blagovesta Karnobatlova. He improved his professional skills in the master classes of the well-known singers Rolando Panerai and Alexandrina Milcheva. He is soloist at the Stefan Makedonski State Music Theatre, and, at present –also at the Sofia Opera and Ballet. The singer has a vast concert and opera repertoire from works by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, Paisiello, Massenet, Wagner and others. He has sung as guest-artist with opera and cantata and oratorical repertoire in many countries in Europe and the world. He has also made numerous recordings.
